Before starting at Spencerhill Associates, Bethany worked as a PR assistant and as an editorial assistant. Her background includes a BA in English and a specialization in Social Media Marketing. Bethany previously interned at a small publishing house and literary agency, and was an associate agent at a boutique literary agency for three years.

Bethany lives in West Virginia with her husband and their cats, and spends her time reading, writing, and re-watching The Vampire Diaries.
